Little Andy at 3 Months

I had the pleasure of taking baby Andy's 3 month photos on Saturday. He is SO adorable and SUCH a chunkster! His mom & dad had the BEST time dressing him up in all kinds of outfits- or in other cases, dressing him down!!  I just loved him SO much and I am so excited to do his 6, 9 & 12 month photos! I think my favorite photos of Andy is either the naked ones on the bed or the three I did with him on the long brown couch.
The first set below of him naked on the bed were a lot of fun to edit. I am normally a HIGH contrast lover... with these I edited them to have barely any contrast and made them very light. They are definitely a change for my normal photo editing skills, but I am always up for trying something new!!

The second set below of him in the pink shirt & Grey shorts, that outfit was his grandpas when his grandpa was a baby! it is 59 years old! How cool! (Even though Andy is a little chunky and almost didn't fit :] )

Please, enjoy!

Save Gas

I remember this shoot like it was just yesterday. I went up and down 40 Highway in Independence for hours shooting old rusty things. This was for a project that I did while at Longview, I shot film & digital. The film prints turned out much better, n my opinion, than the digital ones, but mainly because I have always loved darkroom photography more than I have digital.
I really enjoyed this shoot. I should have brought a shooting buddy with me.. for those of you that know 40 highway at all... it was not the best idea for me to go alone....

I really dont have much to say tonight.. except for.. dont give up on your dreams. I had big dreams of being a big hot shot photographer, and even though it is not going to happen TO THAT EXTENT! I have yet to stop taking photos.... (mainly because my camera was so dang expensive...) HA I am kidding. Even if it was cheap, I would still keep going!

Take me home...

Okay.. for those of you who are- or WHERE following me... I am sorry that it has been a few days since I have last posted! I am trying to think of tons of excuses as to what was occupying my time.. but there are none! I am so sorry! :)

This photo I did Spring of 2007 while in High School. It was first digital project EVER! The quality is not very good as I did it with a Sony point & shoot... but it makes me happy regardless.

Just from looking at it, I can feel the sunshine pouring down on top of me. I can remember how excited my mother was for these little tulips to be blooming. I think I am going to plan some at the house this spring. that would be fun. Anyways, back to the photo... I was just getting into discovering the world of digital photography so I was not too familiar with the editing process that I would soon become accustom to. Looking back, I am happy to say that this is still the original and I still have a copy of it.

Enjoy!!

P.S.... I am going to work on posting more! :)

Pathway to my life

Today, I choose this photo to reflect upon. I took this photo last March while in Florida visiting my grandparents. It was very relaxing. I love it there, there is no cell phone reception and hardly any internet connection which is really nice to get away to a place like that every once in a while.
The town they live in, well Live Oak is right out side of the town they live in- McAlpin, but it is a pretty old little town and they have a lot of historic/old landmark type things. This door was one of my favorites.

Enjoy!
